CONNIXTECH

Waterproof Circular Connectors

CONNIXTECH supplies waterproof circular connectors and engineered cable assemblies for sealed power, signal and data connections. Product families can support industrial automation, outdoor lighting, electric vehicles, energy systems, robotics and other equipment exposed to water, dust, vibration or repeated maintenance.

Waterproof Circular Connector Types

A circular connector can be configured as a cable-mounted plug, panel-mounted receptacle or in-line connection. Locking structures may include threaded, self-locking and quick-lock designs. The correct choice depends on installation space, mating frequency, vibration, service access and the required level of sealing.

M12, M16, M20, M23 and M25 Connector Families

Different shell sizes provide different contact layouts, cable ranges and current capabilities. Compact M-series interfaces can serve sensors and signal circuits, while larger sizes can support power, hybrid power-and-signal or application-specific connections. Final ratings must be confirmed for the selected contact arrangement, cable and operating conditions.

Power, Signal and Hybrid Configurations

  • Power-only contacts for motors, batteries and distributed power
  • Signal contacts for sensors, controls and communication
  • Power-plus-signal layouts in one connector
  • Shielded cable options for noise-sensitive applications
  • Straight or right-angle cable outlets
  • Plastic or metal housing options

Understanding IP67 and IP68

The IP rating applies to a defined connector configuration and test condition. Many waterproof connectors achieve their stated protection only when the male and female sides are fully mated. If a connector may remain disconnected outdoors, a suitable protective cap should be considered.

IP68 is not a universal promise for every depth or duration. Test conditions, cable entry, sealing method and assembly quality must be reviewed for the actual project.

Key Selection Parameters

  1. Rated voltage, continuous current and peak current
  2. Number and type of power or signal contacts
  3. Cable outside diameter, wire gauge and material
  4. Panel-mounted, cable-mounted or in-line configuration
  5. Male or female arrangement and mating orientation
  6. Locking method and expected mating cycles
  7. IP rating, temperature, UV, oil and chemical exposure
  8. Vibration, movement and available installation space

Custom Waterproof Connector Cable Assemblies

Connector selection is only one part of a reliable cable assembly. CONNIXTECH can also evaluate cable length, pinout, wire colors, cable material, shielding, overmolding, strain relief, branches, labels and packaging according to an approved drawing.
